Wireless and Mobile News reports worldwide sales of mobile phones reached 294.3 million units in the first quarter of 2008, a 13.6 per cent increase over the first quarter of 2007, according to Gartner, Inc. Nokia still holds first place, Sansung is second, Motorola 3rd and LG coming in at 4th place.

Ford MoCo’s design chief and North American design director, Peter Horbury, gave Automotive News a few hints that the body may turn out to be a bit smaller, following the current market trends of appealing to environmentally savvy consumers.
